Bananas Flambé

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • juice of one lemon
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • 4 bananas
  • 3 tbsp Grand Marnier
  • 2 tbsp pecan halves

Method

  1. Place brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and allspice in a skillet. 
  2. Heat the mixture over the grill on medium heat until boiling, stirring well.
  3. Peel the bananas and slice into quarters, slicing lengthwise. Add to skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes. 
  4. Add pecans.
  5. Pour Grand Marnier into a cup and pour into the skillet. Keep the bottle away from the grill. When the mixture starts to sizzle, flambé using a long match.
  6. Serve warm by itself or with some ice cream.
  7. Enjoy!
