Tangy Mustard-Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup dry mustard
  • ¼ cup apple or orange juice

    Ham:
  • 8-10 lb fully cooked boneless whole ham
    whole cloves

Method

         Glaze:

  1. In small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well. Set aside.

    Ham:
  2. Heat oven to 325 F /160 C. 
  3. Insert meat thermometer. 
  4. Estimate total cooking time at 10 to 15 minutes per pound. (25 to 35 per kilogram). 
  5. Place ham on rack
  6. Brush with glaze during the last 30 minutes of roasting time, or until internal temperature registers 140 F/ 60C, basting with drippings once.
  7. Decorate ham with quartered orange slices during last 10 minutes, if desired. 
  8. Secure orange pieces with cloves in diagonal lines. 
  9. Baste ham with drippings and return to oven. 
  10. Let stand for 10 minutes.
