Hot Spiced Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 4 cups unsweetened apple cider  
  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half   
  • 3 whole cloves                            
  • 5 whole allspice                           
  • 4 whole black peppercorns          
  • ¼ tsp grated nutmeg                    
  • 2 tbsp honey                               

Method

  1. Place cider in a large saucepan with cinnamon, cloves, allspice, peppercorns, nutmeg and honey. 
  2. Heat gently for about 10 minutes.
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more honey if necessary.
