Crafter's Corner is a blend of three businesses that together, have a
tremendous appeal. A fine dining restaurant, a yarn shop and a gift and
home accent store... all delivering quality to guests from far and wide.
Fine Dining on the south shore of Nova Scotia moved to a new level in May
2000. Since opening, Chef David Whalen, an honours culinary graduate and
award winning chef, has led the restaurant team at Crafter's Corner. He
came from one of the top rated restaurants in Canada to settle in
Bridgewater and make this dining room one of note and worht a drive from
Halifax or Yarmouth. (where many customers come from!) Chef David's skills
have added remarkably to the fine dining, specialty bakery and catering
offerings of Crafter's Corner.
The restaurant seats over 80 in four themed rooms and on an all-weather
deck. The in-house specialty bakery prepares all of the breads and
desserts daily and once you've thoroughly enjoyed your meal, you can buy
breads and desserts for home or place an order for your special occasion.
The menu incorporates seafood from Nova Scotia's south-shore, wondeful
salads and chowders, plus pastas and sandwiches, steaks and poultry. Chef
blends an International flavour with traditional native ingredients, to
bring you the best dining experience for miles around!
There is even more to take home from Crafter's Corner though... step
out back to visit the original carriage house. The Carriage House now
houses the fine yarn shop, "Have a Yarn" and the fine home
accents store, "Carriage House Gifts." Ant way you look at it -
everything about Crafter's Corner is "fine."
