The
Shediac location opened in November 1977 and after two expansions and
building a wonderful reputation the Dieppe location opened in 1989. Fisherman's
Paradise is truly a family run business as Yvonne Leger began this
company 24 years ago as she is still active with her daughters Monique and
Lisa. Many of their staff has been with them since their humble beginnings
in Shediac. The staff all wear Acadian costume to help take you back in
time to a truly Authentic dining experience.
The
nautically themed restaurant is the scene of great food, bilingual service,
a traditionally warm ambiance. This combination makes Fisherman's
Paradise famous for their Captain's Plate of baked filet of sole with
cheese sauce, stuffed shrimp, scallops in bacon and fried clams. Fisherman's
Paradise is a "Must" in places to eat when traveling Atlantic
Canada or simply a very special evening out for the local visitors. Fisherman's
Paradise are award winners of the cleanest kitchen across Canada and
have received the prestige award from "En Route" in acknowledgement
for their status as one of Canada's restaurants of distinction most preferred
by "En Route" cardholders. Fisherman's Paradise is also
inspected and approved by the CAA and AAA.
Fisherman's Paradise extensive "a la carte menu," in addition
to their special group menu, provides a wide array of culinary delights
ranging from chowders and sandwiches to various types of beef and seafood
dishes, desserts, sauces and rolls are homemade daily. With a seating
capacity of 369 people, Fisherman's Paradise is able to cater to
weddings, anniversaries, retirements, motor coach tours, meetings and
conventions. The Captains Room is available for groups up to 180 people
while the smaller rooms such as the Chart Room, Patio and Sailing room
handle more intimate groups.
